Certifications are required to be included at time of submission.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Same Day Surgery experience required.
Phase I and Phase II/PACU experience required.
Admitting and discharge experience required.
IV starts required.
Must be able to prepare the OR for surgery (pre-op), not just the patient for surgery.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
ICU experience preferred.
Special Requests:
Traveler must have their own vehicle; there is no public transportation in the area.
Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload; RTO requests after upload will not be approved.
All scheduling requests must be made at submission; requests after offer may lead to a rescinded offer.
Unit Details:
Responsible for admission and discharge of surgical/procedure patients, including nursing admission assessments and Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care.
The role is primarily PACU, with OR assistance as needed.
Surgical Services performs mostly outpatient procedures, with limited inpatient procedures.
Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients ages 16 and older.
Shift & Scheduling:
On-call is required 2-3 days per week.
Call is required for two weekends per month.
No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks, if scheduled/needed: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after.
