Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match the address on driver's license.
Required Credentials: Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Pharmacology Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% score, only 2 attempts allowed.
Preferred Skills/Experience: ICU, critical-care, ED, or perioperative nursing experience may be preferred depending on the facility. Experience with airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and postoperative recovery preferred.
Preferred Credentials: PALS preferred when caring for pediatric patients. CPAN or CAPA preferred.
Unit Details: Provides post-anesthesia recovery care for patients following surgical and diagnostic procedures. Monitors patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, manages pain and nausea, identifies complications, and ensures patients are stable before transfer or discharge.
