• All RTO through manager, especially around holiday weeks.

Unit Details:

• Surgical patients (GI, ortho, trauma, GYN/ONC), sickle cell, and general medical patients; large oncology and post-operative population recovering from complex surgeries.
• Blood administration, skeletal/bucks traction, drains, JP, CT, wound dressings, wound vac management, wound care, heparin gtt, high flow, stable BiPAP, and PCA pain management.
• Support includes LPNs, CNA and receptionist support, vascular access team, sepsis and rapid response teams, RT 24/7, remote telemetry monitoring, and 24/7 hospitalist, specialist, and intensivist support.
• Phlebotomy staffing dependent; nursing may be responsible for lab collections.
• Uses Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Philips monitors, Sara Stedy, Arjo lifts, kangaroo pump, and sapphire pump for PCA.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• No on-call.
• Holiday expectations: based on scheduled days from facility.
• 7p-730a; can clock in at 653 and must be present for huddle at 7.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to mixed acuity only.
