An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Unit Details:
- Patient ratios: 1:4/5 on days, 1:5/6 on nights.
- May be assigned medical patients with transfer orders waiting for a bed.
- Occasionally could be a 1:1 sitter or utilized as helping hands.
- Patient population includes complex medical patients such as ETOH, CVA, and sepsis.
- Includes wound care, wound vac, antibiotic therapy, IV starts, neuro assessment, and restraints.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend or less, depending on unit needs.
- Holidays as assigned.
- Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to inpatient units.
