Additional Details:
In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.
Required Credentials:
- MOAB Moderate Risk required.
- Ascension Core Competencies exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score; 2 attempts allowed.
- Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% passing score; 2 attempts allowed.
- Cerner test-out required.
- Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Special Requests:
- Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles.
- Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Every other weekend.
- No call.

Job responsibilities of a Step-Down nurse include maintaining ventilators, administering treatments and medications, collaborating with members of the healthcare team, and interacting with patients and their families. Registered Nurses who specialize in Step-Down Unit will need BLS and ACLS certifications. They will manage many high-risk IV medications such as Heparin or Insulin infusions. Step-Down Unit (SDU) Travel Nurse Jobs in Kansas
