Required Skills/Experience: Strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or willingness to work with difficult cases. Step down and med-surg experience required. Charge experience require - Please notate charge exp on each position they have worked charge
Required Credentials: If a BSN degree is the highest level of education, verify the graduation date and upload a copy of your diploma to your credentials.
Preferred Credentials: BSN or higher preferred.
Unit Details: Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center.
Floating Requirements: Travelers will be first to float.

Job responsibilities of a Step-Down nurse include maintaining ventilators, administering treatments and medications, collaborating with members of the healthcare team, and interacting with patients and their families. Registered Nurses who specialize in Step-Down Unit will need BLS and ACLS certifications. They will manage many high-risk IV medications such as Heparin or Insulin infusions.
