Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips, including Amio, Cardizem, insulin, and heparin. Must be able to interpret EKG.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Neuro experience highly preferred.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding; 2 attempts allowed. Day 1 pass/fail SIMs lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility.
Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
Unit Details: Common diagnoses/types of patients: trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, brain tumor.
Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays based on unit coverage and worked into the permanent holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements: Float to telemetry units and tele overflow in ICU.
Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
