Required Credentials: Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance and a basic dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment. This must be passed in order to work on our telemetry/med surg unit. Driver's License/State ID after sub
Shift & Scheduling: While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. ACU required every other weekend rotation.
Floating Requirements: Floating is a requirement in ACU is always required for any non-critical care inpatient units including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. If the traveler has critical care experience, we have occasionally floated them to CCU.
