Required Skills/Experience: Epic EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.
Required Credentials: Self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test-out will be given the first week of assignment and must be passed in order to work on the Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric medical/surgical and telemetry patient population. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation. Possibility of overtime. Not part of a regular call rotation, but may occasionally be placed on call during low census; if called in, must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Floating Requirements: May be required to float to Fort Madison or Henry County campus. Floating is required for non-critical care inpatient units, including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. Travelers with critical care experience may occasionally float to CCU.
