Required Skills/Experience:
- Telemetry monitoring experience required.
Special Requests:
- RTO required upon submission.
Unit Details:
- Adult patient population.
- Cares for patients with complex medical needs including substance use disorders and withdrawal management, behavioral and complex social needs, and gastrointestinal, respiratory, and sepsis management.
- Mid-flow, high-flow (Opti flow), and CPAP therapies are managed on the unit.
- Stable ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients can be cared for on the unit.
- Ongoing care coordination and education related to drain, tube, and line management, enteral nutrition, and the administration of multiple infusion therapies consistent with medical telemetry standards of care.
- Patients are typically under Hospital Medicine, gynecologic oncology, and maternal-fetal medicine services.
- Virtual nursing support includes patient education, staff workflow assistance, and purposeful rounding.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every third weekend.
- No on-call.
- Holiday requirement: 1 summer and 1 winter required.
Floating Requirements:
- Traveler may float to 1 other unit: 3Thompson.
