Required Skills/Experience: Experience or skills in medical cardiac care. RNs are required to titrate drips.
Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 during the 7 AM shift and 1:6 during the 7 PM shift. Common drips include Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem. Common diagnoses include medical cardiac conditions, specifically congestive heart failure (CHF). Uses High Flow oxygen and BiPAP for less than 24 hours; RNs are not required to manage these beyond troubleshooting. No on-unit Tele/Monitor Technicians; virtual monitoring is used, and RNs are responsible for reading their own ECG strips. Uses GE telemetry monitors.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holiday shifts are assigned on a rotation basis. On-call is required as a last resort for travelers. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed.
