Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.
Special Requests: Perm candidates of any other Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. RTO must be listed at time of submission. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Surgical cardiac telemetry unit caring for myocardial infarction, rule out MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients, vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab patients with or without interventions, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement; specialized structural heart support (VAD, TAVR, etc). Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPap, Trach Care. Blood/Blood Products Administration. Cardioversion / Defibrillation, Epicardial Pacer Management. LVAD, Open Heart 24-28 hours Post-Op. Tele Interpretation - Dysrhythmia Interpretation and management. Common drips include Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Antiarrhythmics, Beta Blockers, Cardizem, Hydralazine, Ketamine, Lasix, Nicardipine, Nitroglycerin, and stable Levophed drips. Staffing model 4:1 tele, 3:1 high acuity and special procedures. N:P ratio is 1:4 across the board (can be 5 at midnight).
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required.
Floating Requirements: Floating required to like units to meet unit needs; travelers must be flexible to floating.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
