Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have current Epic experience.
Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia Course preferred.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course preferred.
Unit Details:
- Blended step-down/telemetry unit with a 3:1 RN ratio for step-down patients and a 4:1 RN ratio for telemetry patients; average census is approximately 25% step-down and 75% telemetry.
- Cares for intermediate-care patients on IV drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, Cardene, and insulin, as well as patients requiring high levels of oxygen.
- High focus on neuro trauma, complex post-operative, stroke, cardiac step-down/telemetry, post coronary intervention with femoral sheath removal using Femostop, post permanent pacemaker placement, post AICD placement, and stable acute coronary syndrome patients.
- Uses Pyxis and Omnicell.
- Fast-paced unit and the busiest admission, transfer, and discharge unit in the hospital.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No call.
- 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Floating Requirements:
- You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles.
- Float to Med-Surg depending on staffing and census; happens often.
