References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: ICU experience required.
Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. For DC locations - You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations - You must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Cardiac, neuro, respiratory, GI/GU patient population. Cares for vent/trach, IV non-titratable drips, HFNC, dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotating schedule (0700-1930 and 1900-0730). Every other weekend. 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a six-week period.
Floating Requirements: Traveler will work in both IMC and ICU unit and will be floated to MS. Float to ICU, ED, and Med Surg as needed.
