Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home or terminated if policy is not followed. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be well rounded and strong in Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General medicine, and Oncology.
Special Requests: Can only apply to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Driver's license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility. Previous permanent employees must have been away for 2 years. Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must have been away for 2 years. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Travel teams must be submitted together.
Unit Details: Ratios are 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:6 for MedSurg/Tele.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend nightshift cluster; weekend groupings may be Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon.
Floating Requirements: Resource pool position for all MedSurg/Stepdown/Tele units at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Units included: 8 East - MedSurg (Stepdown and Floor); 8 West - Stepdown/Floor; 8 NE - Stepdown; 6E - long-term antibiotic infusion unit; 7 East - Trauma and General Surgery inpatient unit; 7 West - Stepdown and Floor; 7 NE - Ortho Neuro; 10 East - Neuro Stepdown and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit); 10 West/6 West - Neuro; 9 East - Surgical Oncology/MedSurg (Stepdown and Floor); 9 West/TCTU - Medical Oncology/Stepdown.
