Required Skills/Experience: Strong IV skills required.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. All RNs are expected to complete a day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details: High number of 1:1 assignments. Uses Phillips telemetry. Charge nurse has no patient assignment. Very high-acuity CVICU with cardiac surgery recovery, Impella, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, ECMO, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, and TAVR patients. High number of bedside procedures, including bronchoscopies, Swan catheter procedures, and epidurals.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holidays work into rotation.
Floating Requirements: Float to other ICUs and all Tele units; patient ratio is 4:1 on Tele. Travelers float before permanent staff and may also be required to float to Westgate if asked.
