Required Credentials:

• Diploma of Nursing.

• BSN.

Unit Details:

• Pre-operative support as well as immediate post-operative recovery of cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgery, heart transplants, ventricular assist device implantation, and various interventional and structural heart procedures.
• Cares for acute cardiology and heart failure patients, often managed on inotropic support or temporary left and right ventricular devices.
• Manages patients with Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, C-Mag, continuous dialysis and ultrafiltration machines, invasive lines, hemodynamic needs, and various ventricular assist devices both permanent and temporary.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:

• ICU float pool: MICU, SICU, and CVICU.
