Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have peritoneal dialysis experience and be competent with hookup and disconnect. General acute care dialysis nursing competencies required, including AVF/AVG cannulation, CVC access, recognition and management of hemodialysis complications and emergencies, peritoneal dialysis site care and catheter care, and peritoneal dialysis initiation and termination. Uses Baxter Home Choice machines. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Required Credentials: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility.
Unit/Facility Details: May be asked to precept as needed by the unit.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Submission limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Shift & Scheduling: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, with possible 11:00 AM-11:30 PM rotational shift as needed. Six weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; Friday night call, Saturday day/evening, Saturday night call, or Sunday day each count as a weekend shift. On call one night per week and every other Sunday (max). Holidays rotate with core staff.
Floating Requirements: First to float between Bryan and College Station campus as needed.
Required Credentials: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
