References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Need to have experience with peds to adult population.
- Must have good IV/blood draw skills.
Unit Details:
- Travelers will help in triage.
- Sees adult and pediatric patients, with a large older-adult population; stroke and STEMI patients are stabilized and sent out.
- Nurses mix common critical care drips.
- On night shift, there is NP coverage with an MD in close proximity for emergencies.
- There are two nurses on each shift; one is designated as charge and carries a full patient load.
- RT is available 24/7.
- Uses BiPAP/CPAP/vents and Mind Ray monitors.
- Nurses perform most blood draws.
- ER holds are intermixed in the ER.
- No security at the facility.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekends based on department needs.
- Expected to work the holidays.
- No call.
