References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
• RTO must be submitted upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: 1:4 in zones, 1:6 in Fast Track, 1:5 in OBS, 1:1 ICU/trauma.
• Common patient presentations include trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes-TPA.
• Uses all common drips seen in Level I trauma ERs.
• Includes Fast Track, observation, and separate triage areas.
• ED physicians and mid-levels are staffed on the unit.
• Support staff includes aides, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters; support ratios are 1:10 in OBS and 1:20 in main ED.
• RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend requirements vary based on department needs.
• Holiday requirements vary based on department needs.

Floating Requirements:

• Will float to OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER at least once a week.
