Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous travel experience required; 1 travel assignment suffices.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Charge experience preferred.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Unit Details:

• Level IV trauma ED caring for newborn to geriatric patients.
• Uses Pyxis, Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, and a Ranger blood warmer.
• Unit responsibilities include ESI triage, IV insertion, drips/infusions, performing EKGs, restraint application, procedural sedation, and ambulance transports.
• STEMI, stroke, trauma, and higher-acuity pediatric patients are transported to a higher level of care and may require RN transport.
• Utilizes telemedicine and telestroke consultations through UVMMC.
• Facility does not have interventional radiology or a cath lab; general surgery services are available.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Monday to Sunday.
• Every other weekend minimum; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs.
• Holiday requirements: must be flexible with schedule and work 2 of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day.

Floating Requirements:

• Ability to float to MS is preferred.
