Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Freestanding ER experience required. Trach care. Cardioversion/defibrillation. Breathing treatments. Feeding tube management. PICC line. Rapid infuser.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract. Candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations. Permanent candidates from any other Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract only if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
Unit Details: Free-standing ED with no RT or pharmacy on site; the RN performs RT and pharmacy-related duties. Approximately 15% pediatric patients. Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Procedure sedation and RSI - Rapid Sequence Intubation drugs. Drains, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access/care. Syringe pumps, triple lumen catheter. Day shift ratio: 1:4.
