References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Reading basic telemetry strips, some experience with CVA and TIA, and total joint replacement experience.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Must score 80% on the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity location within the last 12 months, including full-time, part-time, or PRN employment. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details: Patient population includes CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, post-cath, and total joint replacement patients. Diltiazem/Cardizem drips are given at a set rate only; no titratable drips. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift. Uses BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments.
Shift & Scheduling: 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holidays: work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day across Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and Thanksgiving Day. No call.
Floating Requirements: First to float; may float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified. ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established; however, this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance so clinicians are aware of what location they will be reporting to.
