Unit Details: Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Performs or assists with IV access (peripheral, central line, PICC, and/or Infusaport), IM and SQ injections. Skilled in setting up and assisting with chest tube insertion and management, sequential compression device, blood glucose monitor, PCA machine, thoracentesis and paracentesis, TPN, thrombolytic therapy, Kangaroo Pump, and central line insertion.

Shift & Scheduling: On-call: None. Weekend shifts as needed. Holiday shifts as needed.

Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
