Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills/experience: telemetry - remote monitoring; use of rapid response teams. Cardiovascular case skills/experience: post angiogram, post MI. Endocrine/metabolic case skills/experience: IV insulin protocols. Gastrointestinal case skills/experience: colostomy care, feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/renal case skills/experience: pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills/experience: blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs. Medication skills/experience: heparin, insulin, PCA. Neurological/psychiatric case skills/experience: CVA, pre/post neuro surgery. Ortho trauma experience preferred. Surgical drain experience preferred. Respiratory case skills/experience: chest tubes - Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank. Professional knowledge and skills: isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac. Previous charge experience preferred. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience

Unit Details: General med-surg and overflow stroke unit serving adult to elderly patients with respiratory illness, infection, stroke, trauma patients, and surgical overflow.

Special Requests: Cannot contract to block scheduling but typically can schedule colleagues 3 in a row. Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Shift & Scheduling: Will work every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Will float as needed to other Med-Surg and like units.
