• IV skills required.

Required Credentials:

• PALS is required to care for pediatric patients on the general floor, but it is not mandatory for travelers on MSU.

Special Requests:

• Travel pairs are not accepted.

Unit Details:

• Medical-surgical orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients; top medical diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and PNA.
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights.
• Equipment includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips cardiac monitor.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
