Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience with chest tubes, art lines, and swans.
Required Credentials:
- You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests:
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Patient ratios: 1 to 1-2.
- Philips monitoring; there is a monitor tech on day shift, and nurses are required to read tele strips.
- Common cases include open heart, general surgery, STEMIs, and stroke.
- ICU patients may have vents, chest tubes, art lines, swans, CRRT, and Impellas.
- Travelers will not take balloon pumps.
- No neuro patients on the unit.
- Pharmacy is not 24/7; after 10pm, night shift nurses may have to mix meds.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Holidays are worked in with permanent staff rotation.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float to Tele (1 to 4) or Med-Surg (1 to 5).
