Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have experience with chest tubes, art lines, and swans.

Required Credentials:

• You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests:

• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: 1 to 1-2.
• Philips monitoring; there is a monitor tech on day shift, and nurses are required to read tele strips.
• Common cases include open heart, general surgery, STEMIs, and stroke.
• ICU patients may have vents, chest tubes, art lines, swans, CRRT, and Impellas.
• Travelers will not take balloon pumps.
• No neuro patients on the unit.
• Pharmacy is not 24/7; after 10pm, night shift nurses may have to mix meds.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Holidays are worked in with permanent staff rotation.

Floating Requirements:

• First to float to Tele (1 to 4) or Med-Surg (1 to 5).
