Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be comfortable with acute MedSurg care (IV therapy, wounds, etc.).
• Patient population is 90% neuro in a low stimulation area, including TBI, brain tumor resection, CVA, lung transplant, and liver transplant. Interdisciplinary team rounds. Average LOS 19-21 days. Patients typically receive therapy 5 of 7 days for 3 hours per day.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Rehab experience preferred.

Required Credentials:

• References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
• RN jobs in the following units: Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, ED/ER, Endoscopy, any ICU/critical care, IR, LTAC ICU, Med-Surg/Tele, Tele, PACU, Stepdown/PCU are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Special Requests:

• Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• Travel teams must have their own vehicles.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements:

• ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they'll be reporting to.
• Floating to any MedSurg unit.

Unit/Facility Details:

• Travel Teams must have their own vehicles

Previous Employment Requirements:

• Eligibility as current/previous employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
