Required Skills/Experience: 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+). 3-6 months travel experience. EVD experience, ICP monitoring experience, and strong neuro assessment skills required.
Required Credentials: Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding; pass/fail with 2 attempts. SIMs Lab competency required for Foley catheter insertion; pass/fail.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Travel Teams must have their own vehicles.
Unit Details: Neuro critical care patients. Cases include craniotomies, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries, and scoliosis repair. Uses Philips monitors and vents.
Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Holidays are worked into the core staff rotation based on unit coverage. May be placed on standby for a scheduled shift.
Floating Requirements: Required to float between all ICU floors and all Tele units; will get a 4:1 patient load on Tele and will be 1st to float.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
