Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills/experience: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, obtain 12 lead EKG. IV insulin protocols experience required. Chronic/acute renal failure experience required. IV therapy skills/experience: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs. Medication skills/experience: continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips. Respiratory/thoracic case skills/experience: assist with management of BiPAP, assist with management of CPAP, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, care of ventilated patient, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, suctioning (ETT, NT), ventilator management. Professional topics and skills: infection prevention, isolation precautions/use of PPE, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac.

Special Requests: Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes COPD, CHF, AKI/ARF, DKA, OD, post surgical, hyperkalemia, hyponatremia, and GI bleeds. Unit details: chest tubes, bedside dialysis catheter insertion, central line insertion.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float as needed.
