Additional Details:
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years experience required, at least 1 year in specialty.
- If less than 2 years of RN experience, but has level 4 NICU experience, can screen.
- Level 3 NICU experience required.
- Manage PICC lines and mid lines.
Required Credentials:
- Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests:
- RTO must be listed at time of submission.
- Approval will be based on facility's needs.
Unit Details:
- Level III NICU.
- Neonate and infant patient population.
- Prematurity, feeders and growers, RDS, NAS, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and jaundice.
- Large Hispanic community.
- Central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations. No surgeries are performed at this facility.
- Titrate dopamine and dobutamine. Fentanyl and versed.
- Ratios can be up to 1-3, staff by acuity.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No call.
- Every other weekend; may exceed to meet unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to MB for babies; if couplet experience, may float fully.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
