Unit Details:
Average of 9 cases per day.
Common cases include general, ortho, OB/GYN, urology, podiatry, and cardiology (pacemakers, lead revisions, etc.).

Shift & Scheduling:
Shift start times are between 0545 and 0900, and shift end times are between 1345 and 1700.
The manager builds the schedule.
Call is rotated through trained RNs; approximately 5 days per month with 7 nurses, varying slightly due to PTO.
Weekday call runs from 1430 to 0630.
Weekend call runs from 1430 on Friday until 0630 on Monday.
Agency RNs are expected to participate in the holiday call rotation.
During call, RNs must be ready to make incision within 30 minutes or less for STAT cases.

Floating Requirements:
RNs also cover Pre-surgery/PATT and PACU.
