Required Credentials:
ASN is required.

BSN is preferred.

Unit Details:

• Ortho and medical/surgical patients are assessed every shift.
• Ortho and medical/surgical patients receive education on wound care, proper mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs, and other patient-specific needs.
• The RN coordinates care with physician and surgeon partners and delegates and monitors interventions of HCT staff.
• The RN sets up ortho traction and manipulates surgical traction devices for mobility and wound care.
• Wound appliances include wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
• Holiday shifts are rotating.

Floating Requirements:
Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
