Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility.
• At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5.
• Adult and pediatric Med Surg patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD.
• Common drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; RNs do not titrate drips and do not titrate hypertensive/hypotensive medications. Diuretic infusions are rare.
• Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment.
• Support staff: 2:15 - 2 nurse aids on days; 1 nurse aid on nights.
• Pediatrician is not in house but is on call for pediatric patients; pediatric patients are not managed by the hospitalist.
• No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by RT.
• ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips; Med Surg/Peds nurses apply telemetry to patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Day/night rotation; 7-7 with self-scheduling.
• Weekends as needed.
• No holiday requirement.

Floating Requirements:

• First to float.
• May float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.
