Required Skills/Experience:

• At least three year recent RN experience working in RN role.
• At least two year recent RN experience working in an specialty area.

Required Credentials:

• Education: Clinicians must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and hold a California Registered Nurse (RN) license from the CA Board of Registered Nursing.
• BSN or ADN required.

Special Requests:

• If worked at Sharp for 0-6 months must wait at least 6 months before returning.
• If worked at Sharp for 6-12 months must wait at least 12 months before returning.
• Must not be working in SD for 1 year in order to apply as a traveler.

Unit Details:

• Clinical work includes subcutaneous insulin injections, blood product administration, CO2 monitoring, chest tubes, EKG monitoring, hemodialysis, IV therapy including drawing blood via CVAD and midline catheters, wound therapy, non-invasive ventilation, oral/enteral/parenteral nutrition, Novastat, PCA pumps, restraints, and tracheostomy care. The unit uses Alaris pumps.
• The role includes management of complex, new/unusual, or other high-risk clinical situations.

Floating Requirements:

• Float pool may float to PCU units, 1 level of care lower or another facility.
