Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Chest tube management, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs preferred.
• O2 management up to BiPAP and heated high-flow preferred.
• Experience with drips including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, and ketamine preferred.

Unit Details:

• High-acuity progressive/intermediate cardiac unit.
• Uses telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps.
• Typical cases and procedures include post-cath care for right and left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, Watchman procedures, pacemaker implantations, TR band management, and neurovascular checks.
• Also cares for post-thoracic surgery patients including VATS/RATS, resections, lobectomies, and chest tube management.
• Provides pre- and post-op care for open-heart surgical patients including CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, and aortic dissection repairs, plus vascular surgery post-op care.
