Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Cardiac experience preferred.

Unit Details:

• Nurse:patient ratios: Stepdown 1:3; floor 1:5 or 1:6.
• Patient population includes cardiology, heart failure, cardiac surgery, medicine, and hospitalist/med-surg.
• RNs are required to titrate drips including heparin, insulin, nitro, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amio, and dobutamine.
• Equipment/patient care includes NC, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach to vent.
• Telemetry is monitored by tele techs; Phillips monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend requirement for night shift: 3-4 S days (Saturday and Sunday), 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays in a 4-week schedule period.
• Holiday requirement: an eve and a day (Black Friday or Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day).
• No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements:

• Traveler would be the first to be pulled off the unit if needed. Rotational pull to the floor assignment (pull log dates kept by charge nurses). The pull to the floor assignment is typically 1 out of the 3 shifts.
