Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have cardiac drip experience, NIH stroke assessment experience, post cath recovery, and chest tube experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with TR bands and Fem stops preferred.
Special Requests: The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.
Unit Details: Uses Epic. Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal failure, respiratory failure, pneumothorax, and post cath lab patients. RNs care for post cath lab patients but will not pull sheaths. No titratable drips on this floor; commonly sees set-rate diltiazem and amiodarone. No epi or nitro. Tele techs are on the floor until June, then will be centralized off site. RNs read and interpret telemetry and document every 6 hours. Uses SpaceLab monitors and is transitioning to Philips. RT manages CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed. Holidays as needed. No call.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Will float to like units and Med/Surg at times. May also float to Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center to like units and Med/Surg if needed. May also float to ICU if experienced.
