Required Credentials:

• Telemetry competency exam required, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips; failure of the exam will result in contract termination.

Unit Details:

• Telemetry unit cares for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and Covid.
• Includes care of post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU.
• Uses non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.
• Provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

• No call.
• Schedule can include weekends and major holidays.
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.

Floating Requirements:

• May float to intensive care units for a telemetry/medically appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, and Renown Regional.
• Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
