Required Credentials:
- Must pass tele exam during compliance.
- If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Pediatric and psych experience preferred, not required.
Special Requests:
- Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered.
- You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). For example, if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.
Unit Details:
- General Med Surg skills include chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines; RNs will collect from central lines if needed; foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry.
- Patient population includes adults; post-surgical patients; stroke; oncology, with no chemo experience required; CHF; COPD; respiratory issues; GI issues; ortho/total joints; and COVID patients.
- Travelers experienced with pediatrics may be utilized with pediatric patients.
- Could very rarely have a total care assignment and possibly act as CNA.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
- Shift times: 7a-7p or 7p-7a.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and ER for Med Surg holds.
