Required Skills/Experience:
Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience.

Required Credentials:
Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accreditated Nursing Program.
Must have NYS Nursing License Registration and NYS Copy of Physical License/Diploma for submission.
Individual Professional Liability coverage is mandatory for assignment duration (Only individual malpractice insurance is accepted by the facility).

Special Requests:
All time off and special requests should be discussed directly with managers upon arrival (no pre-approval).
Clinicians must start assignments within 30 days of receiving an offer.

Unit Details:
Conducts health assessment interviews focused on wound, ostomy, and continence-related care; performs focused physical assessments; develops plans of care based on diagnoses and individual client needs; and recommends medications and treatments as appropriate.
Assesses and documents patient responses to wound care, ostomy, continence, fistula, and complex-wound treatments.
Provides comprehensive assessments for patients at risk for developing pressure injuries and initiates preventive measures.
Provides patient, family, and staff education, including new-employee orientation, in-services, and continuing education programs.
Develops, revises, and evaluates standards of care and assists with the selection of supplies, technology, and equipment.
Evaluates the quality and delivery of care provided by clinical staff and participates in unit/department and hospital-wide quality-improvement activities, including incidence and prevalence studies and nursing quality.
Manages rented equipment, including specialty beds and negative-pressure devices.

Shift & Scheduling:
Overtime not allowed at NYCHH facilities (requires written manager approval in rare cases).
No call.
