Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred.

Unit Details:

• Procedures performed include CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker cases, laser lead extractions, some thoracic procedures, some endovascular procedures, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips.
• Uses open heart instrumentation and supplies, TEE equipment, and ultrasound.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care before, during, and after surgical procedures; maintaining sterile procedure compliance; ensuring equipment and medications are available for the operating room team; recording surgical progress and outcomes; and ensuring proper specimen handling.

Shift & Scheduling:

• On-call is required; approximately every other day and every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:

• May need to provide lunch relief in the following service lines: Vascular, Robotics, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery.
