    Additional Details:

    Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to.

    Required Skills/Experience: Mother-baby experience required. Must be able to attend deliveries, complete 1 hour of newborn care, circulate and recover C-sections, provide postpartum couplet care, and care for triage patients. Experience with magnesium required. Will accept 1 year experience

    Preferred Skills/Experience: 1 year of mother-baby experience preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred.

    Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Current/previous employees may be considered on a one-off exception basis with St. Luke's Health System approval. Block scheduling is not guaranteed; cannot work 6 shifts in a row. Travel duos need 2 cars and cannot share 1 car because they may be assigned to different sites or float during the shift.

    Unit Details: Uses Epic; EFM system is Centricity. AWHONN staffing standards: 1:1 labor unless pairing 2 cervical ripening patients; postpartum 1:3 couplet care; triage 1:3, with a resource nurse used if triage reaches 4 patients. Cares for patients 32 weeks gestation and greater, including HTN on magnesium, BACs, TOLACs, some gestational diabetes, and some antepartum patients; many patients present after planned home births for medical intervention and pain control. Does not take placenta previa or placenta accreta. Travelers staff triage. Titrates Pitocin and magnesium drips; occasional insulin drips. Charge RNs do not take assignments; unit also has resource and triage RNs. Unit has 1 CST per shift; CNA coverage may be limited if covering HUC sick calls. OB hospitalist and neonatal NP in house 24/7; anesthesia in house 24/7. Tele capability is available but rarely used; patients are typically transferred to a higher level of care if needed.

    Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed; no set minimum, based on unit needs and requests. First schedule fills unit gaps; future schedules may submit preferences but are scheduled around core staff. No set holiday requirement for travelers; may work a holiday if needed during the contract. No call required.

    Floating Requirements: First to float to all St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites—Meridian, Nampa, and Boise—in primary skill set (L&D, postpartum, or antepartum) or as a sitter.
