Required Skills/Experience:
Critical care/cardiac critical care background required, including open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience.

Required Credentials:
Ascension Pharmacology Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% score, 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% score, 2 attempts allowed.
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.
Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests:
Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details:
Post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions.
Procedures and recoveries include post-open heart, post-cardiac procedures, surgical recoveries, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements.
Uses Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
