Required Skills/Experience:
1 to 2 Years’ Experience Required.
Required gynecology skills include abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, C-sections, dilation and curettage, and laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures.
Required plastics skills include abdominoplasty, laparoscopic-assisted cases, and mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction.
Required professional knowledge and skills include administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, starting peripheral IVs, universal protocol (time-out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, and wound management.
Required work settings are ambulatory OR, general OR, pediatric general OR, and trauma.
Required trauma skills include amputations and MVA (multiple injuries).
Required podiatry skills include ankle fusion, bunionectomy, hallux valgus arthroplasty/arthrodesis, and metatarsal surgery.
Required orthopedic skills include anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, laparoscopic-assisted cases, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement.
Required general surgery skills include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, inguinal/umbilical hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, mastectomy, and partial/total thyroidectomy.
Required endoscopic procedure skills include bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, and PEG tube placement/exchange.
Required equipment, instrumentation, and supplies knowledge includes cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources/cords, and Steris.
Required urology skills include circumcision, cystectomy, cystoscopy, laparoscopic-assisted cases, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate.
Required emergency-management knowledge includes code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia.
Required robotics skills include colorectal robotic surgery, da Vinci Xi surgical system, gastrointestinal robotic surgery, gynecologic robotic surgery, orthopedic robotic surgery, otolaryngologic robotic surgery, and urologic robotic surgery.
Required pediatric endoscopic procedure skills include EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and PEG tube placement/exchange/removal.
Required ear, nose, and throat skills include endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic-assisted cases, laryngectomy, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, and tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy.
Required bariatric skills include gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and laparoscopic-assisted cases.
Required pediatric ear, nose, and throat skills include myringotomy with tubes, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and tracheostomy.

Required Credentials:
You must have a MO license and be in the process of applying for a KS license (+vice-versa) or you must have a compact licensure to apply.

Special Requests:
If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details:
The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients.
Charge RN assignments are required as needed per unit.

Shift & Scheduling:
Holiday shifts are required as needed per unit.
Weekend REQ: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6 week schedule period, combination of F/S/S.
Call is required: One weekend every six weeks and one night per week.
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days.

Floating Requirements:
Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
