Required Skills/Experience:
Trauma experience is required.
Traveler must be able to scrub general, gynecology, GU, orthopedic/total joint, neuro, vascular, hybrid vascular, and robotic surgery cases.
Laparoscopic-assisted case experience is required.
Experience with general surgery, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, vascular, thoracic, ENT, endoscopy, and trauma procedures is required based on unit needs.
Experience with code response, fire safety, latex allergy precautions, and malignant hyperthermia is required.
Experience with blood and blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol/time-out procedures, urinary catheterization, and wound management is required.
Electrosurgical unit experience is required.
Fiber-optic light source and cord experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Preferred experience includes ortho, urology, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, neuro and neuro spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant.
Cell saver, Hana Table, and Steris experience are preferred.

Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
The OR averages about 50 cases per day.

Shift & Scheduling:
1 weekend every 6 weeks.
On-call is optional.
Holidays are optional.
