Required Skills/Experience:

• PHO requires 1 year in pediatric hem/oncology acute care.
• First-time travelers are accepted with a strong pediatric background.
• Central line management, chemo administration, and strong pediatric assessment are required.

Unit Details:

• Patient population includes leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, behavioral health overlay, and general adolescent medicine.
• The RN ratio for pediatric adolescent medicine is 1:4-5.
• The unit uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.
• Bedside telemetry monitoring is used, and no telemetry technician is available.

Floating Requirements:

• The clinician will work routinely between PA and PHO and other units in Brenner, except Peds ED.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
• No on-call requirement.
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
• The schedule cycle is every 6 weeks.
