    Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of experience is accepted only if it is specific to L&D. First-time travelers accepted with L&D experience. EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Gyn-surgical/mastectomy post-op experience preferred.

    Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Must live more than 100 miles from the facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler. Requested time off will not be accepted between 8/5/26-8/20/26. Approval of time off: 2 gold tickets per year and request off before the next schedule is posted.

    Unit Details: Patient population includes L&D, postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and infants <28 days old. Level 2A nursery; will care for sick babies. May care for gyn-surgical/mastectomy post-op patients. Patient ratios: laboring 1:2; couplets 1:3-4. No unit-specific CNA. Charge nurse covers all units in the hospital. Lab available 24/7. No IV/VAT team. Centralized fetal monitoring. Resource nurse is the primary nurse, manager, or charge nurse. RT available facility-wide. Hospitalist in house (Med/Surg). Nursery located behind the nurse's station.

    Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. Call schedule: LOC per census and LOC rotation. Holiday expectations: 3 holidays scheduled, 1 on-call, rotating schedule.

    Floating Requirements: May float to Med/Surg as helping hands/in the role of a CNA; could be floated within scope of practice and below.
