Required Skills/Experience: Manager approval is required to offer candidates lacking Epic charting experience, Level 3 or higher Labor and Delivery experience, or competency to manage high-acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia, preterm labor and delivery, and management of laboring and antepartum patients less than 35 weeks gestation. IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulating C-sections, and C-section recovery care. Must care for couplets and be comfortable caring for normal newborn nursery patients (Level I care).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Comfort caring for lower-acuity NICU patients (Level II care) preferred.
Preferred Credentials: Electronic fetal monitoring or inpatient antepartum certification preferred.
Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Time off requests require manager approval.
Unit Details: Cares for pregnant patients across high-risk and low-intervention labor, including antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants. Patient ratios: Antepartum 1:3; inactive labor 1:2; active labor 1:1; postpartum/couplet care 1:3 couplets.
Shift & Scheduling: 0630/1830 variable shifts; must work days and nights throughout the contract. Every other weekend. Could be placed on low census call. Holidays as needed.
Floating Requirements: Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contract.
