Required Credentials

Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed; updated every 3 years.
Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization; 2 attempts allowed; updated every 3 years.

Special Requests

Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details

The ICU is a conglomerate unit serving medical, surgical, and cardiovascular cases.
The ICU case mix includes TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem-pop, thoracotomy, STEMI, HF, hypoxia, respiratory failure, CHF, and pneumonia.
Clinical management includes ventilator management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, and CRRT.

Shift & Scheduling

On-call shifts are part of the assignment.

Floating Requirements

Must be able to float between ICU and Step Down within the critical care service line.
